YOGA IN SCOUTING

Bangladesh Coningent attended Yoga Prectices

in

Special National Jamboree at Ahmedabad.

The Bangladesh Scouts Contingent reported at 2.30 P.M. on 01-02-2009 at Overseas Sub Camp of Special National Jamboree Ahmedabad 1-7 Feb. 2009. Sub Camp Chief, Sh. Aroop Sarkar, Assistant Director Bharat Scouts &Guides received them with warm welcome and allotted them accommodation in the mega event of Scouting where more then 6,000 youth participated.

It is worth mentioning that the Bangladesh Contingent participated in almost all the programme of Special National Jamboree of Scouting movement of India like opening ceremony, Food Plaza, Physical Display, Grand Camp Fire, Folk Dance etc. Even facing some short comings of camp life they were active and involved with full swing with joy. Campfire Programmme of Bangladesh stole the heart of onlookers.

During the jamboree they come across the various regional heritages presented by the participating states and become fully aware about the Indian Cultural heritages, however a local site seeing programme was also arranged for them.

Under the international friendship exchange, as a good friend of Bangladesh, BS&G specially arranged Yoga Class. On behalf of the BS&G Dr. B. Islam STC (Scout) KVS State worked as Master Trainer in this programme. The BS&G whole heartedly shared Indian expertise, skill “unique Scientific Technique of Yoga and its Words of Command for Yoga Trainer / Commanders “. The Bangladesh scouts appreciated Micro Yoga Practices for will power, Memory, Intellect, Ears, Eyes, Nose, Neck, Shoulders and Chest.

It is quite satisfactory to BS&G that Bangladesh contingent accepted BS&G Yoga Training as Indigenous Gift. Now, after the training each of the participants becomes able to work as Yoga Commander in the morning assembly of the schools. They assured that each one of them will contribute to thousands of their school mates. It is remarkable contribution from Indian faor which Leader and participants were thankful of BS&G.

They conveyed special thanks to our Veteran Leader National Commissioner Sh. L.M. Jain for giving chance to get experience and witness the Special Jamboree with reduced Registration fee from 100 Dollars to 50 Dollars.
